Heal Your Knee Without Surgery

Knee Pain

Have you been told that surgery is the only way to treat your ailing knees? Fortunately, there are less drastic medical interventions that are often more effective, less expensive, and require less recovery time than knee surgery. At Citrin Wellness, our highly skilled naturopathic approach specializes in providing cutting-edge treatments like PRP/PRF, Stem Cell, and Peptide therapies to alleviate lingering pain and improve knee function quickly without operating on it.

Knee Conditions Treated

As a weight bearing joint, the knees are exposed to a tremendous amount of force from both accommodating a person’s body weight and performing athletic activities like running or jumping. If you are experiencing a loss of mobility, pain, or weakness in the knee, we can help.

The Citrin Approach

We use three different types of regenerative injections that have massive success in helping fix and heal thousands of joint patients. The aim of these non-surgical treatments is to help your body accelerate its own healing properties to address the real issue behind your pain. Sometimes one or several of the following are done together to ensure the best outcome.

01
PRF/PRP
PRP / PRF therapy harnesses the power of your body’s own platelets to restore damaged tissue. These platelets, crucial for blood clotting, also possess growth factors and specialized proteins that stimulate the body’s own healing mechanisms when faced with injuries or joint damage. PRF, is created directly when the patient’s blood is drawn and processed to extract the patient’s own platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) which is quickly processed and injected into the affected area of the elbow.
02
Stem Cells
When the joint condition is more severe, we utilize stem cells (typically in the form of exosomes or amniotic cells) to promote the growth of healthy tissue and reduce inflammation in the affected area. These cells stimulate tissue growth, reduce inflammation and can help rebuild cartilage.  For Stem Cell therapy, we use cells that are extracted from the placenta and then third party tested to ensure safety. Those cells are then added to the PRF from the patient’s own blood, mixed together and injected into the source of the damaged tissue.
03
Peptide Therapy
Peptides use protein molecules that have specific functions in the body to create a healing response. These are typically added to one of the above therapies to further enhance the success of treatment.

What to Expect

This is an outpatient procedure and you will typically be done in less than an hour. Your body will need 5-7 days to start the repair of your joint or tissue allowing the area to relax and give it the best chance of healing. Over the following weeks, as your body continues the healing response you can start exercising and using the joint.
