Hair Restoration
PRF hair restoration is a non-surgical procedure that leverages your body’s own healing properties to help significantly regrow hair. The important part of hair restoration is getting to the root cause of why there are issues in the first place. Once we identify those, we have a few different approaches to help with restoration.
We evaluate hormones and other blood markers to see if there is a cause for hair issues. This is done through a primary initial consultation if the patient suspects there is an underlying issue why they are losing hair. For many people, it is an imbalance with cortisol, testosterone, vitamin D, and iron.
The entire procedure typically takes around 45 minutes to complete. The number of sessions needed varies based on your specific goals and hair loss condition, but we typically recommend 3 sessions for hair injections, 1 per month for 3 months.
CONDITIONS TREATED WITH PRF INJECTIONS
Alopecia Areata is a condition characterized by the immune system’s assault on hair follicles, leading to the development of bald patches or even complete hair loss. In addition to affecting the scalp, some individuals may also experience hair loss in their eyelashes and eyebrows. This condition’s fundamental cause lies in autoimmune dysfunction, wherein the body’s immune system mistakenly targets its own hair follicles. Notably, it tends to be more prevalent among individuals with preexisting autoimmune disorders such as thyroid diseases.
Known as male-pattern or female-pattern baldness, this condition ranks among the most prevalent forms of hair loss. It impacts nearly 50 percent of individuals grappling with diminished hair growth and follicular decline. In men, it commences with a receding hairline and the emergence of bald patches. Conversely, women with Androgenic Alopecia experience thinning hair primarily along the crown of the scalp.
